The previews’ earnings for the John Wick series have grown over the years, with John Wick earning $950,000, John Wick 2 earning $2.2 million, and John Wick 3 earning $5.9 million. John Wick: Chapter 4 is expected to break the record set by the third movie, with an opening weekend earning between $65 million and $70 million.
Impressively, each film has surpassed its predecessor in opening weekend earnings, with the original earning $14 million in 2014, John Wick:
Chapter 2 earning $30.4 million in 2017, and John Wick:
Chapter 3 – Parabellum earning $56.8 million in 2019. Despite its $100 million production cost, John Wick:
Chapter 4 is predicted to have the highest total in the franchise.
The previous installment, John Wick 3, earned $328.3 million globally, followed by John Wick 2 with $174.3 million and the original with $86.1 million. As the only major new release this weekend, John Wick 4 is expected to outperform last week’s box office champion, Shazam: Fury of the Gods.
