Three people were sent to the hospital after a high-speed chase ended in a rollover incident in Echo Park.
Officials said three persons were taken to the hospital with traumatic injuries after a high-speed chase concluded with the suspect’s car slamming into a power pole and overturning in Echo Park on Thursday afternoon.
As Sky5 arrived above the location about 5:15 p.m., the driver of the automobile carrying five individuals looked to be going at very high speeds through the northeast Los Angeles area.
According to Glendale police Sgt. Christian Hauptmann, officers attempted to pull them over for a traffic violation at 5 p.m. in Glendale, near the corner of San Fernando Road and Western Avenue.
Hauptmann stated that police had received information that the vehicle’s passengers were probably armed and dangerous.
Around 5:25 p.m., the pursuit came to a spectacular end when the vehicle collided with a power post, spun out of control, and rolled over near a gas station near Glendale Boulevard and Berkeley Avenue.
Sky5 was on the scene when five people, all of whom appeared to be able to walk, disembarked the vehicle following the incident and were brought into custody.
